But favorite movies pirates of the Caribbean. Hello Jack Sparrow. I like the wisdom of Jack Sparrow. Also, in fact, in this movie, Lieutenant Norrington, and speaking of Jack Sparrow, says this is without a doubt the worst pirate I've ever seen. Quote is followed by an ingenious plan by Captain Jack to steal the fastest ship in...

...the English fleet. After this theft one of Norton Sailor says that's got to be the best pirate I've ever seen, which Norrington begrudgingly admits so it would see. But when I speak of Jack Sparrow's wisdom, I'm not speaking about his abilities and ingenious plans to escape. In fact, sometimes it appears that his escapes are more a result of good fortune and planning nevertheless, I'm convinced of his wisdom, because Jack was always pursuing more than this life has to offer. He pursued eternal life, in both the movie at World's Inn and again on stranger ties. In this pursuit, there were times when it appeared...

Jack was willing to fortmit his own life here in this world to gain eternal life. When I speak of Jack's wisdom, that's what I'm speaking of. A good pattern to follow, pattern actually set forth by God. In the Jewish celebrations. We're making our way through the book of numbers today, where in numbers chapters twenty eight through thirty, and in a minute I'm going to read numbers twenty nine, versus three through six and verses thirty five through thirty nine. But numbers chapters twenty eight through thirty deal with daily offerings, Sabbath offerings, monthly offerings, annual celebrations. So I want to read numbers twenty nine, verses three through SIS. With the bull offer a grain offering of...

...three tenths of an Effa of the finest flower mixed with olive oil. With the RAM, two tenths with each of the seven lambs, one tenth include one mail go as a sin offering to make atonement for you. These are in addition to the monthly and daily burn offerings with their grain offerings and drink offerings that specified. They are food offerings presented to the Lord a pleasant aroma. It's a lot being given here, continuing O Verse Thirty Five, on the eighth day old, a closing, special assembly, and do no regular work, present as an aroma blazing to the Lord of foot, of food offering consisting of a burnt offering of one bull, one ramp, seven mail lamps, the year old without defect, with the bull of the Ram and...

...the lambs offer their grain offerings and drink offerings according to the number specified. Included one male goat as a sea and offering, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering. An addition to what you vow and your free will offerings, offer these two the Lord and your appointed festivals, your burnt offerings, grain offerings, drink offerings and fellowship offerings. The Jewish feast and celebrations describe in these chapters reminded the childer of Israel. They belong to God. God is word he's worth far more than anything this world has to offer. God is life, he is eternal life. Thus,...

...the Jews were not their own. They have been redeemed and now they belonged to God. The Jewish feast began with the Passover March April period. During this holiday, Israel Room was reminded that they were once in bondage and destined to death, but by the sacrifice of a lamb they were saved and delivered. This celebration reminded him you're in bondage deathtined to death. By the innocent blood of another, you've been saved and delivered. Fifty days after the Passover, Israel would celebrate the seventh seventh day week, or Pinta fifty pentecosts. This pentecost, or the complete day of the complete weeks, was a...

...reminder that God was to continually be worshiped. Seven weeks completeness. Continually, God was continually to be worshiped. It reminded the children of Israel not only of the giving of the law, which took place on this day, when God gave the Law to Moses, the fiftieth day the pentecost, but beyond that, it reminded him that this world was not their own. See, God gave the law to Moses fifty days after the Passover. This was to be a celebration, but it was also a celebration of them leaving Egypt. This world, this place, is not their home. To Recap, well,...

...the Feast of Booze, let's go to that, the feasts of booths, which is the numbers twenty six, nineteen through thirty eight, completed all the feats. So celebration that reminded the children of Israel of the temporary living during their travel of the promised land. It reminded them that God would take care of them in their temporary living. Again a reminder. God will provide, he will take care of and again reminder, just as a Passover, this world's not our own. This was a reminder as well. This world's not our home. Thus, to recap, these fees reminded Israel that God saved them, delivered them, free them, belonged to them, provided for them and would bring them all these reminders of what God did for them was...

...why they gave of themselves, ealths to God. In fact, the feast, during the feast every year, Israel would give one hundred and thirteen bulls, thirty two rams, one thousand and eighty six lamps, two thousand pounds of flower, one thousand bottles of all and wine every year. God is worthy. He's worthy of all we have and so much more. All we have belongs to God, all we are belongs to God, and we gladly give him first ourselves and the end of our possessions, because there is anyway...

...the point being nothing in this world compares to life e turn, something Jack Sparrow understood. Life in this world doesn't even compare it to life e turn. We should be willing to give up everything for Christ, be willing to give him all that we have. Why? Because he is eternal life and he is worth worthy. Is the lamb a reminder all the way back in the book of numbers with the daily offerings, well for Reading For tomorrow is numbers thirty one through thirty three, and we're going to pick up there tomorrow.

But let me close us in prayer to day. Father, we do thank you for what your teaching us and what's your guiding us. Thank you for the reminder from your word. Worthy is the lamb, that you are worthy, sure a great God father, thank you for reminding us that nothing in this life compares to you, to sway, the childer of Israel gladly went, readily, gave you so much, and that is why we so desire to give you all that we ought and all that we have. We pray this in Jesus. Thank you for joining us today.
