I don't mean hoarding in the way that we see iton television. I'm talking about hoarding trash.

A lot of times you watch thingson TV and you see hoarders and they've got trash it where. I'mnot talking about that. When I'm making about hoarding, I'm talking more aboutlike a child who gets all of the candy at Halloween and a hoarder morethan they can ever possibly eat but they don't share. That's that's what I'mspeaking about. I think Christians a lot of times or things that are moreprecious than even candy to a child. I think Christians Hoard Christless items.Let me ask you. What would you pay for eternal peace? What wouldyou pay for eternal love? What would you pay for eternal life? Chriceless, priceless items? And sadly you and...

I are tempted to hoard eternal lifeto ourselves, even though there's planning to share with the whole world. We'restill tempted devoted here in Leviticus. We're in Leviticus chapters eight through ten. That's our reading for the day. But here, long before Jesus came toEarth, God was teaching his children to share him with others. I'm goingto read out of Leviticus Chapter Nine, verses twenty two and twenty three, but then also want to read in Leviticus Chapter Ten, Verses Sixteen through twentytwo. Totally different passages, but as we look at them through this conceptof sharing God and knowing God, perhaps...

...will connect them. Leviticus nine, verses twenty two and twenty three. Then Aaron lifted his hands toward the peopleand blessed them, and, having sacrificed the sin offering, the burnt offeringand the fellowship offering, he stepped down. Moses and Aaron then went into thetin of meeting and when they came out they blessed the people and theglory of the Lord appeared to all the people. Now, chapter ten,Verse Sixteen. When Moses inquired about the goat of the sin offering and foundthat it had been burned up, he was angry with Eliazar and Ithamar,Aaron's remaining sons, and asked, why didn't you eat the sin offering inthe sanctuary area? It is most hot holy. It was given to youto take away the guilt of the community by making atonement for them before theLord. Since its blood was not taken into the holy place. You shouldhave eaten the goat in the sanctuary and...

...as I commanded. Erin replied toMoses. To Day they sacrifice their sin offering in their barn, burnt offeringbefore the Lord, but such things as this have happened to me. Wouldthe Lord have been pleased if I had eaten the Sin Offering to day? When Moses heard this, he was satisfied. Levinnicus. Chapter Nine, we seeMoses and Erin meeting with God privately in this tent of meeting, andthey're so overwhelmed with God and his presence that as they come out, theyjust want to share those blessings with others, and so they meet with God,he blesses them, they come out and they share it with the people. What a beautiful examp of what we...

...should do with God. We meetwith him and he touches US and blesses us, and it should cause usto want to share that with others, share eternal love, eternal life, eternal peace with others. But why is such sharing of God so important?Obviously, if we don't share God with others, they'll miss out on anopportunity for heaven, for eternity. But it's even more than that. It'snot only that they'll miss out on life eternal in the future, it's thatthey miss out on life eternal now. There's a lot of people around usthat we think would reject God if we ever shared it. And yet they'remiserable, they're hurt it when someone in their family dies. They have nohope, they just have pain. And...

...we share a god not jest forLife in the future, but for life now. That's exactly what Aaron wassaying in the next chapter. In fact, in chapter ten we see an incrediblysad day in the life of Israel, a day when the high priest Erinwhilst two of his sons at the beginning of chapter ten because they disrespectedand didn't believe in God. And yet they were his sons. He LostTwo children on this day. Nevertheless, he was expected to perform his dutiesand he did perform his duties. He offered the sacrifices. However, hesimply could not eat a meal which the...

...high priest was expected to share withGod, because he was frustrated at God. He had lost two of his sonsand he knew God was the reason he lost them. Ultimately, theywere the reason. It was their disrespect of God, but God carried outthat punishment that their sin deserved and he knew it. And even though heknew God was right, he was frustrated with God. God had struck hissons. While he knew God was good, he was still frustrated, and sohe couldn't bring himself to eat a fellowship meal with God at the moment. And, as a text makes clear, through Moses's understanding, so too wasGod's understanding. God doesn't excuse behavior,...

...but God understands human weakness and humanbehavior here and explains to Moses. If he had eaten, he wouldhave done so with a heart which wasn't right. Yet and Moses accepted such, as God except such. In fact, it appears from the text this wasthe right thing to do. What to be honest with God about ourfrustrations. That's the right thing to do. God. I know you're good,I know my sons did wrong, but I'm just frustrated at it rightnow, at you in some ways,...

...but more at the entire situation.I'm just frustrated. That type of honesty is good. To be honest withGod about our frustrations, because God understands our weaknesses and our fealties. He'dever excuses them. You didn't hear me say God excuses our weaknesses and frailties? No, he does it. But he was tempted. Jesus himself wastempted in like manner as us. Yet with out SAE it, we're tempted. Jesus was tempted just like us. We see it. He never did, but he was tempted in like manner. That's why we share God with others, because God understands our frustrations, even when our frustrations at times areaimed at him. Even when we are...

...frustrated with God that he would allowtragedies in our lives, he does an excuse such but he understands our frailty. He never excuses doubt, but he understands our weaknesses and ultimately, itis he who helps us through these trials. Ultimately, even with Erin, itwas God who helped him through that tribe. Our frustrations with God ultimatelylead to a greater understanding of God and his goodness, which in turn bringshealing. Hear me, as we learned in job, it is sin toever accuse God of being unjust or of...

...being wrong, or of saying,God, you shouldn't have done that, that's she it. Nevertheless, whensomething bad happens in our lives, when we lose a child, when somethingoccurs, and we're just like God, why did you let that happen, and there's almost a bitterness that starts to creep into our lives and we're upsetat God for letting it happen. He understands our frailties, he understands ourhuman weaknesses and he's the one that meets us there and brings us through thattrial so that when it's over we're closer...

...to him than we ever were before. We share God, not with people just for the life to come, but can you imagine going through the loss of a child without God? Manyof you watching it, going through the laws of a child with God,and you've been frustrated and you've even said to God. God kind of frustratedat you that you let this happen. His tender arms reach out to you. He doesn't bring his finger out and point at you. Instead, hesees your weakness and frailty and he reaches down and he comforts you, evenas Aaron would eventually be comforted, and Aaron was just expressing a human frailty, and God would take that and bring...

...air and around, just as hedoes you and I. That's why we share a God. It's not justfor eternal life to come. It's to help people in their life now. It's to help him make it through the trials that they're experiencing now. Let'snot hoard eternal peace, eternal joy, eternal life, eternal love, especiallywhen there's plenty to share with all of creation. Let's share it with others, even today, because they need it, not just for heaven. They needit for what they're going through this day. Hope you're enjoying this.Tomorrow will be in lebticus, chapters eleventh through thirty, but let me prayfor you before we go. Father, thank you so much for Jesus, for dying on the Cross and providing life...

...eternal. Lord, I ask youto forgive me when I don't share him like I should. Thank you forthe reminder to day from your word to share Jesus, not just so someone can go to heaven. Obviously that's the biggest part of the picture,to get away from Hell and go to heaven forever and ever. But Lord, some people needing today because of what they're going through in this life. Some people are going through a hell in this life, the difficult time,a tragedy in this life, and I have the anxious. Help me,the SHARY, help us all to Shary. We pray this in your name.Again, thank you for joining and...

...joining us and I'll see you againtomorrow.
